High School

High School, Grades 9 – 12

Grand View Christian High School offers students the opportunity to acquire a Christ-centered education with a Biblical world view integrated in every aspect of the high school experience.  Students grow spiritually, academically and physically and are encouraged to be engaged in life enriching activities including ministry, music, drama, and sports.

The High School offerings include:

  • English Language Arts
  • Mathematics
  • Sciences
  • Social Studies, and Bible

Electives include:

  • Foreign languages

Rob Seyler

Your position:

High School Teacher, High School Coordinator

Testimony of salvation:

I was raised in a passionate Bible-centered home and learned the rhetoric of Christianity as a small child.  At the age of 4 I began to profess a saving faith in Jesus; however, I eventually realized that it was merely cultural assimilation and intellectual assent but not regeneration.  After traumatically reaping the seeds of sin during my teen years, I recognized my need for divine rescue and rebirth.  At the age of 17 I repented of my sin and relinquished control of my life to Jesus and began to follow Him.  Later, God used a trip to South America and the book Through Gates of Splendor to propel me into a passion for a life of ministry.

Additional Training:

I am currently halfway through the process of receiving my Masters of Divinity.

It was at college where I met a vivacious volleyball player named Kim Hindal.  We were married in 1996 and now have six wild and wonderful children (Robbie, Emma, Jack, Malachi, William Wallace, and Ezra).  We live in Altoona.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not teaching?

We enjoy our home in Altoona, with the view of cornfields, large bonfires, and family games in the yard.

How long have you been in your job at Grand View?

I began teaching at GV in 2000, believing that I would eventually transition into “real ministry” somewhere else.  Since then, I have fallen in love with educational ministry and enjoy working with parents to help their children know and serve Christ.

What is your favorite thing about your job?

Being around students every day, building relationships with them, and investing in their lives is something I really enjoy.  My greatest joy is running into former students and seeing that they are walking in step with Christ.
