Daryl Heino
High School Teacher

Name:

Daryl Heino

Your position:

High School Teacher

Testimony of salvation:

I was raised in northern Minnesota, where we attended a Bible-believing church. I asked Jesus to be Lord of my life in March of 1970, just before graduating from high school.

Church:

Saylorville Church

Areas where you serve in your church:

We enjoy serving as cell group leaders at our church. What I like most about our church are the people, the worship, the teaching, and the emphasis on evangelism and discipleship.

College/Degree:

BA- Mathmatics Education, University of Northern Iowa

Family:

While attending the University of Minnesota, I met a farmer's daughter who also loved the Lord. I married D'Laine in 1973. Her dad asked us to come to Iowa and work the family farm, so we did that from 1975 to 2004. We raised our three children on the farm: Joshua, Dawn and Krista. Joshua lives in Rochester, Minnesota. Dawn and Krista live in Urbandale, Iowa. They are each married, and we have seven grandchildren.

How long have you been in your job at Grand View?

This is my 2nd year of teaching at Grand View.

What brought you to GV or why did you decide to work here?

I am extremely passionate about God as Creator. The teaching of evolution and secular science in America has caused serious, irreparable damage to American society. God is the Author of the physical laws of the universe; any discussion of science should begin and end with Him. With mathematics and science, it is fun to delve into the infinite and realize that God has given us glimpses of His eternal character. I am so thankful to be able to discuss these things openly with my students at Grand View Christian School!
