Karen Eddy

Your position:

3rd Grade Teacher

Testimony of salvation:

I came to know Christ at an early age after hearing the gospel preached I knew that I was a sinner and needed forgiveness of my sins. I began asking questions to my mom and she shared with me John 3:16.  It was then that I knew I was a sinner and needed to be saved from my sins.  In high school I dedicated my life to do whatever God called me to do.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not teaching?

In my free time I enjoy tending to my garden, and canning/preserving all of its goodness! I love long walks, bike rides to the park and my hammock in the sunshine!

How long have you been in your job at Grand View?

This is my 2nd year teaching at Grand View.

What brought you to GV or why did you decide to work here?

Ever since I was a young child, I always wanted to be a wife, mother and a teacher!  God has kindly fulfilled those desires.  It is with great joy that I look forward to teaching at GVCS and serving alongside a team of devoted Christ followers to serve children and families!

What is your favorite thing about your job?

I love teaching and helping students learn to love school!  It is my prayer that my students will see Christ in me and as we walk through our days in the classroom together that He will be lifted high in each content area!  All things were created by Him and for Him!  As I seek to treasure Christ, I pray my students will also!

What is your guilty pleasure?

My guilty pleasures are peace and quiet and grocery shopping alone!
