EL/MS/HS Music, Instrumental
Testimony of salvation:
My faith story begins with my family, parents who loved the Lord and taught me from His Word. I accepted Christ as my Savior at a young age, and later recognized my need to make Him Lord of my life.
Areas where you serve in your church:
I was challenged to be willing to serve the Lord wherever He would lead. I enjoy playing flute in the church orchestra at Grace Church.
BS- Music Education, Northwestern College, Orange City
MA- Music Education, University of St. Thomas
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not teaching?
I love visiting my friends who live in various parts of the United States and the world. My bucket list of travel includes seeing more of Europe. In the meantime, I'll enjoy dark roast coffee and dark chocolate, and visit with my friends via Skype.
How long have you been teaching?
This is my 39th year teaching full time. I have been teaching at GV/GPBS since 2002 when I returned to the United States after serving at a school for missionary kids in the Philippines for 20 years
What is your favorite thing about your job?
Since making music is one of the skills we can use to worship God, I truly enjoy all aspects of helping young people learn the skills of music, and especially teaching beginning band students.
