The basis of all teaching of all schools operated by the Association is:
The divine inspiration of the Old and New Testaments, the only infallible, authoritative word of God, the supreme and final authority in faith and life (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21).
The three Persons of the Godhead – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – are co- equal and co-eternal and thus one True God (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; I John 5:7).
That Jesus Christ was both God and man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin (John 10:33; Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:35).
The existence of God the Holy Spirit in the past, present and future and that His ministry is restraining, reproving, regenerating, indwelling all believers, baptizing, sealing and filling.
That Satan was created holy, but fell and is now the corrupting prince and unholy god of this world (Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:11-19; II Corinthians 11:13-15; Ephesians 2:2; I Peter 5:8).
The Genesis account of a six day creation, accepted literally and wholly apart from any evolutionary process (Genesis 1,2; Genesis 5:1-2).
That humans were the direct creation of God, made in His image; however, by voluntary transgression, man fell. The result of this is that all people are sinners and are under just condemnation, without defense or excuse (Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23).
The salvation of sinners is through the voluntary, substitutionary death of Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God, who bore our sins on His own body. Faith in Christ is the only condition of salvation and repentance is a change of mind and purpose toward God, prompted by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:8-9).
The crucified Christ resurrected in a crucified body, ascended to heaven and ministers for us as High Priest and Advocate (I Corinthians 15:4; Hebrews 4:14; I John 2:1).
The sinner must be born again in order to be saved. This new birth is instantaneous and not a process (John 3:3-8; II Corinthians 5:17; Acts 16:20-33; I John 5:1; Ephesians 2:1-5; Colossians 2:13-14).
The truly born again are eternally kept by God the Father (John 10:28-29; Romans 8:35-39; Philippians1:6).
The Lord Jesus Christ will personally, pre-millennially, and imminently return for His Church, which is our “Blessed Hope.” (I Corinthians 15:42ff; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Philippians 3:20; Titus 2:11-13)
The pursuit of personal holiness of life, as we are to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ, rather than to the world (Romans 8:28-30; Romans 12:1-2; Titus 2:11-13; I Peter 1:13-16).
The civil government is of divine appointment for the interest and good order of human society (Romans 13:1-7; I Timothy 2:1-2).
The origination of the marriage relationship by God. Marriage between a man and a woman is designed by God to be a picture of the relationship between Jesus Christ and the Church. Marriage is intended to be a permanent relationship, broken only by death (Genesis 1,2; Mark 10:6-9; Ephesians 5:22-24).
The principle of parental responsibility for the education of their children (Deuteronomy 6:7).
