Can We Pray For You?

Students- If you have a prayer request or praise that you would like to share with the staff, we'd love to pray with you and for you.

"A powerful prayer is one that does not let go. It does not quit. It is profitable and powerful because it is persistent."

  • New Security System

In an effort to enhance our service to the Grand View community through school safety, we are adjusting the manner in which we allow visitor access to both our high school and elementary/middle school buildings. As we grow into a larger school community, it is vital that we do all  we can to help our students quickly identify the adults who are safe to interact with in our buildings. With that in mind, please read below for our new visitor protocol.

-Starting August 23rd, 2019 (between the hours of 8:00am and 3:00pm at the EL/MS building and 8:15 and 3:15 at the HS building) all visitors (including parents), volunteers, and outside contractors will need to sign in at the office and present a government issued form of identification (ID).

-Our front office staff will ask for your ID, scan the ID, and a visitor badge will then be printed out. You must wear this visitor badge for the entirety of your visit.

-When your visit has concluded, please sign out with office personnel.

-Future visits will not require the presentation of ID as your information will be saved in our system. You will still need to sign in with our office staff and obtain a visitor badge.

With any amount of change you can expect there to be challenges ahead. It is with the safety of our students and staff in mind that we ask for your patience and understanding as our offices begin implementing this new protocol.

  • We now have online ordering for hot lunch! Click the link to get signed up today! All orders must be placed the Wednesday BEFORE the week lunches are needed.

    A couple notes:

    - Make sure to click ahead to the correct date if ordering for more than 1 week.

    - If you want to deselect an item you've already placed in your cart, you CAN do that in the cart. It will not allow you to deselect the button once it's been clicked... but when you go to pay, you can easily delete it from your cart.

    - Money can NOT be transferred between students and any credits students receive back will only be used for that specific student. Also, any unused credits in the account at the end of the school year, can NOT be refunded, so placing a large amount of funds into the account, without specific plans to use them, is not wise.

  • New Elementary & Middle School Leadership

We are very excited to welcome our new elementary and middle school Principal, Mr. Aaron Pals. Aaron is a 2002 graduate of Grandview Park Baptist School and spent his school years growing up in our current high school. Aaron brings a great deal of wisdom and experience, strong, servant leadership, and joy to our school and we can't wait to see how God will use him and his awesome family in our school! Check back soon for a "getting to know you" video on Mr. Pals.

  • Hopesong Returns from NYC

Hopesong was blessed to have an opportunity to sing in New York City on June 4.  Fourteen students rehearsed music with singers from around the country then performed a collective concert at Alice Tully Hall, part of the Lincoln Center Complex.  The students were able to sit under the direction of Rene Clausen, director of the Concordia Choir in Moorehead, MN.  Dr. Clausen is a world-renowned composer and director and the students were able to experience excellent choral singing.  Even through long rehearsals, busy days, and late nights the students represented their Savior and their school with excellence.  Thank you to all who prayed for our trip.  Soli Deo Gloria!

    A few quotes from students:

“There were multiple times where the music was so beautiful that I just had to close my eyes and soak it in.”

“It seems a lot of people sing to make themselves known, and I am reminded that the only real reason any of us sing is in order to bring glory to God and make His name known.

“Even though this world has spectacular things to offer, it’s all temporary.  I need to focus on things above.”

“This was a time I really saw the real world outside of my Christian bubble.”
