This year, we have decided to work together to do a food drive. All of the items collected will be given to Friendship Baptist Center's food pantry to provide much needed assistance to families during the Christmas season. On the following Wednesdays (11/27, 12/4, 12/11, and 12/18), students will be able to bring in donations. On those days, as soon as they arrive at school, students should bring their donations directly to the school cafeteria for collection. All students who bring in at least three items will be able to wear sweatpants for that day (no leggings or pajama pants). We are asking students to be thoughtful in what they donate -- not to merely clean out your pantry at home, but to think through foods they enjoy that others would most likely enjoy, too. Foods with a long shelf life are best -- pasta, pasta sauce, canned vegetables or fruits, condiments, soups, cereal, oatmeal, baby foods, baking mixes, flour, sugar, etc. We hope your child will be able to participate!
